Emissive Power

Emissive Power is a radiation heat flux and is represented by . It is a measurement of radiation emitted by a body.

If your object is an ideal radiator it is called a black body, and its radiation is given by Equation 1.4:

Otherwise, if your object is a real surface its radiation is instead given by Equation 1.5:

Where is emissivity, is the Stefan-Boltzmann Constant, and is the absolute temperature of the surface in Kelvin.

Spectral Emissive Power

Equation 12.15:

Where and are angles as defined in radiation-intensity and is spectral intensity.
